This is a portion of Pontecorvo's The Battle of Algiers depicting the FLN's terror campaign in the City of Algiers during the Algerian War of Independence. The event preceding the demonstration that starts this clip was an explosion from a bomb planted in the Arab Casbah by off-duty French Police.
